In 2019, Samir Machour joined Samsung Biologics in South Korea as Executive Vice President and Chief Quality Officer, later becoming a member of its Executive Committee. Under his leadership, Samsung Biologics grew into one of the largest biologics development and manufacturing organizations in the world. He presented a long-term plan to King Mohammed VI focused on vaccine and biologics manufacturing sovereignty, which led to the establishment of one of Africa's largest vaccine production facilities. Today, as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bio Investments Group, based in Zug, Switzerland, Samir Machour continues to advance his mission of building sustainable healthcare infrastructure. The company focuses on developing local capabilities for vaccine and biologics production across Africa and the Middle East. By partnering with governments, research institutions, and global industry leaders, Bio Investments Group works to transfer technology, establish regional manufacturing hubs, and promote self-reliance in medicine. His leadership reflects a philosophy that true health security comes when nations can design, develop, and produce their own medical solutions without overdependence on imports.
He also serves as Executive Chairman of Altruist Biologics, a major integrated biologics platform in Hangzhou, China.
